Araghchi’s statement comes as the West Asia conflict entered its third week. Iran has vowed to intensify its response to the United States, as President Donald Trump threatened further strikes on Kharg Island, which is an oil export hub.

Earlier, Iran said the US attacked it from the United Arab Emirates while also accusing Washington of carrying out “false strikes", using a rebranded version of Iran’s Shahed-136 drone, known as “Lucas".
According to state broadcaster Press TV, an official alleged that these drones are being deployed against civilian infrastructure across the Gulf region to deliberately frame Iran. The official flagged several “suspicious attacks" in neighbouring countries such as Turkey, Kuwait, and Iraq.

Araghchi has also accused Israel of orchestrating drone strikes in Azerbaijan to sabotage Iran’s foreign relations. Similarly, Alireza Enayati, Iran’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, denied involvement in an alleged strike on the US embassy in Riyadh.
